Part of "Integration" project. My project explores identity transformation and the interaction of the inner world with the external environment through color and abstract form. It is based on personal experiences and analysis of adapting to change when basic identity is challenged. Color plays a key role, reflecting psycho-emotional processes and environmental influences. The dynamics of two complementary colors symbolize the inner world of a person and the surrounding reality - familiar or alien. Through the conflict and interaction of these colors, the processes of resistance, acceptance, and adaptation are revealed. The project seeks to create a universal language of color that conveys emotional and psychological states in the context of change and personal growth
This artwork is an arresting composition of abstract forms and dynamic color juxtapositions. Dominated by a warm palette of earthy oranges and muted browns, the painting is punctuated with vibrant splashes of turquoise, creating a compelling contrast. Fluid white lines traverse the canvas, providing a sense of movement and depth, drawing the eye into its complex layers. The interplay of geometric shapes and organic forms evoke a sense of balance and tension, inviting meditation on the relationship between structure and spontaneity. These abstract elements suggest a landscape or an emotional journey, leaving interpretation open to the viewer. The artist's use of transparency and overlapping hues adds a three-dimensional quality, enriching the visual texture. This piece stands out for its harmonious blend of boldness and subtlety, offering an immersive experience that captivates and engages the observer's imagination.

Konstantin Danilov (b. 1979, Moscow) is a painter and muralist from Moscow, now live and work in Athens, Greece after he moved out from Russia in 2022. He was one of the pioneers of the burgeoning graffiti movement in 1990s Russia, and the experiences of working with color and shape in urban space still inform his work. Now, he associates himself with Color Field painting. He also makes prints, drawings, and digital editions.
Konstantin is currently working on different series of paintings. In one project titled "Borderline States," he explores the psycho-emotional state of concentration and the role of peripheral vision in interpreting different external emotional fields. Here he is interested in suppression and substitution of emotions, the relationship between border and center, and the function of unconscious memory.
The second project “Limits of Intervention" he explores the balance between nature and human influence through semi-abstract landscapes. It captures moments of minimal human intervention, revealing hidden beauty and fragile harmony. The works reflect the tension between nature's chaos and civilization's order, their mutual influence, and the mystery of their coexistence, inspiring reflection on the importance of respecting the natural world.
Another project – "Integration" – is devoted to the problem of human integration into a different society under the conditions of emigration. Through form and color, Konstantin presents a psychological color chart of the ability or inability to blend in and cooperate in new contexts.
All three projects are united by a single visual technique - painting on the ends of the paintings, which serves as a hidden layer of emotions displaced by the emotional background from the perception of the main image.
He has three solo exhibitions: "Flashbacks" at Triumph gallery in 2019, “Spring 2020" at the Fineart Gallery in 2020 and “Borderline states" in Reloft Art Gallery, All in Moscow, Russia. The notable group shows he participated in “Apologia for Delusions" at Moscow Museum of Modern art in Moscow, 2019, “Boundless space... the possibilities of Burning Man", group show and auction, Burning man Project and Sotheby's, New York in 2021, TRUE ЛИ, group show at RuArts Foundation, Moscow in 2022, “30 Year Anniversary" group show at Fineart gallery, Moscow in 2022.
His artworks are included in RuArts Foundation collection, Sofia Trotsenko collection, Montresso Foundation and STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam.
