The scene unfolds in a traditional Japanese interior, bathed in gentle light. Outside the open window, soft misty mountains and fluttering green butterflies bring a sense of freshness and spring.
On the left side, a Japanese inscription reads: おもてなし (Omotenashi) — a word that encapsulates the essence of Japanese hospitality. It means more than just welcoming guests — it's about heartfelt attentiveness, anticipating needs, and offering kindness without expecting anything in return. It's a philosophy of care, humility, and grace.
The artist's signature is presented as a traditional red Japanese seal (hanko), adding authenticity and aesthetic harmony to the work.

Joanna Misoteri is a professional artist whose works uniquely blend traditional Eastern motifs with contemporary artistic techniques. Inspired by 19th-century Japanese woodblock prints, natural landscapes, and cultural imagery from China, Japan, and Southern countries, Joanna creates textured, three-dimensional compositions using acrylic paints, texture paste, epoxy resin, and alcohol inks. Her pieces transform the canvas into tactile artworks of art, offering a captivating 3D effect.
Joanna's formal training in fine arts began in art school and continued at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, providing her with a solid foundation for her professional journey. Her participation in various workshops and courses has allowed her to explore innovative combinations of materials and styles. Always seeking to develop a distinct artistic language, Joanna's work is defined by harmony, aesthetic beauty, and a profound appreciation for the natural world.
