Artwork location: Romania
This artwork presents a mesmerizing fusion of geometry and abstraction, evoking both tranquility and introspection. Dominated by a warm, golden hue, the canvas is subtly textured, enhancing its alluring depth. Central to the composition is a bold, red circle, its smooth curve elegantly contrasting with the intricate textures beneath. The circle is flanked by delicate, wave-like patterns, their rhythmic flow adding a sense of movement and harmony. The meticulous application of color and form invokes a sense of balance and unity, inviting viewers to ponder the delicate interplay of simplicity and complexity. The use of soft, earthy tones underscores the organic feel of the piece, bridging the gap between the abstract and the tangible. This work captivates with its innovative exploration of shape and color, drawing viewers into a serene and contemplative realm.
The artwork technique is acrylic injection painting on canvas.
Lives and works in Villafranca of Verona, Italy.
Italian artist, born in Villafranca di Verona in 1977, graduated in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano, Marcello De Angelis expresses itself through a high quality painting that reveals a formal and attentive technique, unique in its kind: the injection painting. In the constant evolution of language, De Angelis organizes, in the works of great or small size, the pictorial sign through color distributed by a syringe, creating swirls and lines, tracks and paths of pictorial extraordinary smoothness and bewitching iridescence. But beyond the purely formal level, his research reveals, the man's deep attempt to order the world of the visible and the invisible, to try to re-do it, according to a design that is project and destiny of the artistic making of all time. From here the titles of the works, which now refer to metaphysical dimensions, now emphasize the identity of the artist at work, like Prometheus at work, while he is designing, for us, the world.
