Véronique Baleste, a native of the Bassin d’Arcachon, is an artist whose career is marked by a deep quest for meaning and expression. After studying sociology and a career in teaching, she allowed a long-buried passion to emerge: painting. For sixteen years, this practice has become a vital necessity for her, an intimate language, a way of feeling and celebrating life in all its richness.
About her artTo paint to exist For her, painting is a vital act. It is her way of breathing, of feeling, of saying the unspeakable. Each canvas is an exploration of her being, an attempt to capture the intensity of a moment, an emotion, a fragment of truth.
The human at the core She paints portraits because she paints the human being. Each face is a story, a unique vibration. Through her works, she seeks to reveal the soul behind the features, to celebrate the raw and authentic beauty of our humanity.
A free and lively techniqueAcrylic is her ally. Its fast drying time allows her to work in successive layers, to superimpose materials, to give way to instinct. She mixes in stencils, collages, textures, to enrich her paintings with a tactile and vibrant dimension.
