Presentation
Nicola Hyslop is a Berkshire based artist. Taking inspiration from many sources her style is loose yet energetic. Her paintings have evolved into a type of exploration growing with time. No painting has an end, which is something she loves to evoke. Her use of colour tells a story depicting the mood in which it was created. Every time Nicola Hyslop picks up a paintbrush, she has a new idea of how to translate the image into something beautiful. On her art, she says..
"I love how you can tell a story through each stroke and bead of colour. The painting should create intrigue and mystery rather than something quite obvious. I am a true believer that life is not a dress rehearsal. If you have the chance to do what you really love, go for it'."
Nicola Hyslop's experience pieces tend to be more abstract and lively and her more impressionistic work tends to be more detailed and comparable. Colour, shape and movement influence all of her work. Intention, possability and curiosity are at the heart of each of the artist's creations.
Prior to her art career, Nicola Hyslop worked in the corporate world for leading organisations including Microsoft and American Express. She is a mother to Jake and Bella and she derives inspiration from all of her unique life experiences.
