Presentation
Decorator, painter, Caroline Godefroy is Parisian and her family has been rooted in the Ile de Ré for almost five generations.
A graduate of the Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs, she was first of all a renowned artistic director in major advertising agencies in Paris, such as Publicis Conseil.
At the same time, she is passionate about creating contemporary rugs. The artist will, among other things, design carpet collections for Cartier International and collaborate with architects Eric Gizard, Patrick Jouin, Bruno Moinard or the Tukana Architecture studio on some of their projects.
After having ensured for four years the decoration of the program D&CO - "A week to change everything", prime time of the channel M6, Caroline Godefroy is today an interior decorator for individuals and professionals.
A multiple artist, she returned to the desire to paint in 2018. Anxious to offer a new material as a support for her paintings, she chose natural stone leaf. This contributes to offering a particular and singular dimension to his works. Made from slate and mica, the sheet is not reconstituted. It is a real natural stone fixed on a fiberglass support and a polyester resin.
The LES HUÎTRES series of paintings is a tribute to the sea, to its natural richness, to the strength of its colors, to the subtlety of its nuances. Each oyster contains within it an entire ocean.
