Presentation
Myriam Darrell is a contemporary visual artist, French letterist and poster artist. Draws since the age of 13 and his greatest desire was to return to the Fine Arts.
It was in 1969 that she met Jacques Spacagna, one of the precursors of the Lettrist movement, and with whom she shared her life. Myriam Darrell in the company of her husband Jacques Spacagna spend her holidays with Man Ray accompanied by Julia in Remiremont; and regularly receive their friends like Raymond Hains, Jacques Villegle, Martial Raysse, Roberto Matta and neighbors such as André Masson, Jacques Herold, Vladimir Velickoc, etc.
Participating in the production of various manifestos on painting, writing and theater, Myriam Darrell is passionate about images and words. Some of his works will be repeated in Filipacchi editions.
From 1969, she then frequented former artists, dissident Lettrists or Situationists, such as Jean-Louis Brau, Gilles Wolman, François Dufrene with whom she exhibited.
Around writing, signs, gestures, hieroglyphs and symbols, she organizes the exhibitions "The sign and the letter", Comparisons Salon at the Grand Palais in Paris from 1970 to 1976.
One of his works entitled "Couple au carré rouge", produced with Hervé Ficher, circulated in 1974, starting with the Staedler Gallery, rue de Seine in Paris, then elsewhere in France, Italy and Canada. Work which depuiq is kept at the Beaubourg Museum in Paris (numbered red engraving on Arche paper).
Numerous exhibitions in France and abroad (USA, Switzerland, Germany, Italy ...). Notably in 2015, Myriam Darrell exhibited at the Perez Museum in Miami, the work entitled "I forgot a point" opus n ° 5. Catalog publication "The Art of typewriting", Collectif International.
