Presentation
Born in 1967, Raluca Vulcan was passionate about the art of drawing from childhood, as evidenced by the resembling and expressive portraits drawn from the age of 5.
In spite of herself, she follows a scientific class (bac C) in secondary school. Note, at the age of 13, she obtained the 1st Prize in Bucharest at a drawing competition, in front of the college students of the College of Art. Despite this success her parents still intended her for a medical career.
Raluca Vulcan's life is made up of twists and turns and risk-taking. First upheaval when she fled, in 1986, at the age of 19, her native country, communist Romania, for France.
It follows in Paris, as promised to his parents who remained in Romania, a preparatory year in Faculty of Medicine. Then she joined the course of an Advertising School, "Atelier Albers" attached to Iscom, then a 3D Computer Graphics training in Paris, which led her to work in video game companies. Years of 3D computer graphics designer (modeling and animation) followed, but that did not replace his desire to draw and paint.
To satisfy her need for drawing, during these "metro-work-sleep" years, she occasionally made, discreetly, sketches of passengers in the metro ... After long years spent away from the art world, Raluca took the risk of questioning himself; she left her activity as a 3D Graphic Designer in 2006, to embark on a professional career as a Painter.
A quick visit to two supervised painting workshops leaves her unsatisfied ... and she decides to take charge of herself by launching herself as an autodidact, instinctively, and to participate in Art Salons. His first participation earned him a Prize. Others will follow. She chooses a first period focused on Nudes and Portraits, with the production of "flowered women".
Since 2015 she has also been dealing with Urban Landscapes, scenes of life, in a colorful, luminous and intense vision. Her painting is the result of a joyful interpretation of life, which she makes fresh and sparkling with colors. Since 2006, Raluca Vulcan has received numerous awards for her achievements.
She exhibits permanently in the Gallery and is present in numerous private and public collections in France and abroad.
