Make no mistake, SoftTwix's work is in no way vindictive or vindictive! If the artist sticks his portraits of women on the walls, it is above all to tell stories, those of women in this case who, for many, must assume several roles in a real game of balance between professional activity, family demands and personal relationships… while submitting to aesthetic diktats, consciously or unconsciously, imposed by society.
Being one of his women, the street artist invites us into a moving face to face where the mask of the ideal woman falls... finally revealing not the woman but the women. Installed on the walls and framed by architectural elements creating real “trompe l'oeil", they all look at us intensely, revealing a story that challenges, disturbs, questions… often echoing our own feelings or those of our daughters, sisters, friends. These black and white portraits, as if out of time, contain the memory of each woman but also of each place, like an imprint of a shared moment of life.

Presentation
A trained photographer, Softtwix worked for several years in the fashion and advertising industry, notably in Paris, London and Milan, before setting up as a photographer in Paris. Interested in street art for its accessible side in direct connection with passers-by, in 2014 she launched an urban installation project. Photos of female faces on a black background are stuck on walls in the street, in wastelands or on construction sites in progress, casting a critical eye on the aesthetic expectations that our society projects on women. For each of these installations, the artist pays particular attention to the choice of location seeking the perfect interaction between the work and the context.
