Unframed

This artwork captures an opulent Rococo-style room, epitomizing luxury and elegance. The intricate gold leaf detailing on the ceiling is meticulously crafted, creating an ornate focal point that draws the eye upward. The room is adorned with classical marble statues that exude grace and symmetry, enhancing the sense of classical beauty. Four elegant, gold-framed chairs are arranged in a formal manner, reinforcing the room’s stately ambiance. The floor showcases a geometric marble pattern, adding depth and sophistication to the space. Through the central archway, another room is visible, suggesting a harmonious continuity of grandeur. This masterpiece is a stunning portrayal of architectural artistry, celebrating the grandeur of the past while embodying an exquisite balance between opulence and finesse. The precise detailing and lavish design choices are quintessentially Rococo, making this artwork a compelling depiction of timeless luxury.

----------------

Celia Rogge’s work is fundamentally influenced by living between two diverging cultures, continents, architecture and languages. While her self-proclaimed motto is “Always Look Up...” this is meant firstly in a figurative way but by her own definition also meant in a spiritual way. Her work is divided into her own “yin & yang” ”order and emotion”, expressed in two very different types of photography, one urban and one in nature. Her inspiration is deeply rooted in the notion of discovery through visual reflections and a strong passion for symmetry and linear structure. Her architectural works of New York City, London and Berlin Reflections invite the viewer to a new perspective on the clear lines of these metropolises. This zest for linear structure, order and the vanishing point are continued in her images of grand interiors throughout Europe, the United States and Australia. In her daylight infrared photography common vistas are filtered through the transformative power of light where it is absorbed and reflected on another wavelength than the human eye can see. Capturing this different frequency of light she discovers and conveys to the observer the emotional in the unemotional. Her vistas are elevated to a higher spiritual beauty.
