Collector’s Guide
Corinne Bresson is a self-taught artist, born in 1961, who currently lives and works in Bordeaux, France.
As a teenager, she loved drawing what she observed in her microscope or copying the lines of rivers, countries and continents from her geographical atlas. An attraction to the infinitely small, the infinitely large and vice versa. She could spend hours there...
Much later, in 2014, during a meeting that she described as initiatory, she finally decided to take out a camera that had been left in its packaging box for too long. His tribulations as a photographer will then begin.
On this new path, his first love will be for trees and the convolutions of their bark, a true spell... The barks impose themselves as subjects, like geographical maps, endless circuits, which are each unique signatures.
This source of fascination for details extends to all materials and textures take precedence and act in a hypnotic way.
When she exhibits her photos, Corinne Bresson calls the viewer to freeze the image, to dive into the abstract, to pause in time. Learn to observe, open your eyes, settle down. Just find the connection to the elements and to yourself... Time, silence and disconnection from this hectic world. A meeting with yourself...
In July 2022, she exhibited some of her photos in Arles with a series entitled “Matter to get lost in". In 2023, it will be at the Jean Eustache cinema in Pessac then at the Mérignac Arts workshop.
Corinne Bresson describes herself as an intuitive, imaginative, inspired and vibrant photographer and author. She sometimes complements her photographs with mischievous words, and then becomes a facetious poet, yet another way to thrill...
She will title these ramblings “My little delicious deliriums".
Ultimately in this story, there is nothing to explain - but everything to share, everything to feel...
