The Story Behind the Image
Six hours of walking in the snow, and finally, the vision I had dreamed of so long ago appeared before me. A battalion of ancient watchmen stood there, straight up toward the sky. It was both a protective rampart behind which one felt sheltered and such a powerful manifestation of Nature that it drew one to the heavens. I had to return there early in the morning to capture the first glimmers of day; a soft light that contributed to the feeling of fulfillment at the foot of these robust giants.
About Fine Art Editions

The goal is to provide you with a true "fine art photograph," according to the highest professional quality standards, using the high-definition, large-format printing techniques of one of the best photo labs in the world, which I have selected.
Photo prints are genuine, high-quality laser-printed photographs on professional silver halide paper. The photograph is sealed under high-quality 2mm acrylic glass, which enhances color expression and depth. It naturally protects the photograph from UV radiation and ensures long-term color stability. A 3mm Dibond aluminum mount ensures rigidity.
All prints are ready-to-hang and feature an aluminum frame on the back, allowing the artwork to be hung in front of the wall.
Within the limited edition, the works are available in several formats, typically between 1.2 and 2.4 m in length. For dimensions other than those offered, please contact us.
We can also produce anti-reflective Diasec TruLife or Chromalux editions for very large, lightweight and ultra-resistant prints.
Each work comes with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

Presentation
Philip was born in a small town in south-east France, bathed in the light of Provence, and now lives in Aix-en-Provence. He has always been fascinated by the universe and colours, and has pursued his passions in two different directions in life. One was scientific, in search of the secrets of lightning and thunderstorms, which took him to the world's most heavily struck regions: Africa, Asia and the Americas, where he lived for several years in the American West. The other is artistic, as a nature photographer, where he combines his two sensibilities in a hyper-realistic photographic approach in search of authenticity, realism and impact.
Philip has realised from his many travels and encounters that, despite the diversity of cultures, there are universally shared impressions when when faced with the spectacle of our universe. These are fundamental feelings about the mysteries and forces of nature that he wants to revive. His images are often conceptualised long in advance, right up to the moment when the natural elements come together - the location, the moment, the light - to create ‘the right impression’, and rediscover the visual and mental impact felt when contemplating our Mother Earth and Universe wonders.
