Print on brushed aluminum 60x60 cm + black American box.

This intriguing work fuses the iconic black helmet of a famous science fiction character with a human body, shading mystery and audacity.

The character's head, a symbol of power and enigma, is highlighted by a subtly integrated grid, accentuating the contrast between the light armor and the human elements. The dark background reinforces the depth, while the pearl jewelry adds a sophisticated and unexpected touch.

The clean, precise lines of the composition lead the viewer's eye to explore this striking juxtaposition.

The work challenges with its blend of the unusual and elegance, questioning our relationship to identity and disguise.

Presentation

My name is Cédric Brion.

A freelance photographer, I was born in 1978 in Belgium, in the suburbs of Mons, the city where I currently live.

Having always been interested in the visual arts, I began to develop my taste for photography at the age of 18. My first tool was a film camera, the photos of which I developed in the darkness of my room.

This is how, after several years of research and experience, I managed to approach the world of professional photography, thanks to various competitions and work carried out for the economic world...

Motivation and vision.

My fascination with creating portraits in a dark, even black, atmosphere comes from my earliest childhood, because since I was a child, fantastic and dark worlds have always fascinated me, I try to create portraits that transport the viewer to another universe. I like to see my portraits as windows open onto imaginary worlds.

From the darkness of the soul can emerge a clarity that overwhelms me Too bright light often dazzles, darkness magnifies it.

I like to capture these contrasts through my portraits, ancient civilizations have always been one of my sources of inspiration. I want my portraits to be compelling, so that everyone can see themselves in them and recognize themselves in them.

Training.

Artistic studies in applied arts
Qualification in Visual Arts
Infac Photography School in Brussels
Assistant photographer at Frank Uyttenhove in Brussels
Graphic Designer Training at Créaform
Self-taught training on Photoshop and Lightroom.

Inspirations.

David Lachapelle, HR Giger, Max Rive,
Ansel Adams, Yann Arthus Bertrand, Michel Lagarde,
Antonio Gaudencio, Delphine Cencig.
