Doc.LP, all'anagrafe Paolo Lucaioli, nasce a San Severino Marche nel 1985, è un artista che attualmente vive a Cork (Repubblica d'Irlanda). Fortemente influenzato da un'ampia varietà di artisti e tecniche (dall'architettura alla pittura, dalla scultura alla street art), ha saputo creare uno stile molto personale e unico. La filosofia alla base della sua arte si basa sull'idea che “l'artista deve portare gli osservatori fuori dalla loro zona di comfort", innescando il loro processo interpretativo. Fortemente convinto che l'arte sia il più potente mezzo di comunicazione, Doc.LP mira a “scomporre, rimescolare e riassemblare gli elementi della realtà per creare iper-sogni visivi". Questi iper-sogni rappresentano un linguaggio non convenzionale ma potente utilizzato per comunicare con l'osservatore, protagonista e fulcro della sua arte. Linee semplici, forme essenziali, colori vibranti e motivi di varia complessità sono tutti sfruttati per esplorare una vasta gamma di temi: dalle emozioni alle situazioni quotidiane, dalle esperienze passate ai sogni. L'obiettivo è che lo spettatore crei l'inevitabile legame tra l'opera d'arte e le proprie storie, pensieri, percezioni e personalità.
Profondamente interessato a tutte le forme d'arte e fortemente convinto che l'etichettatura sia un fattore limitante per gli artisti, DOC.LP si sfida costantemente a infrangere quante più regole possibili per sfuggire alla routine, al comune, all'atteso. Di conseguenza, elementi tipicamente associati a stili o tecniche specifici si fondono nelle sue opere in un modo senza precedenti. Questo porta spesso alla creazione di composizioni multidimensionali, attraverso tromp l'oeil o addizioni realistiche di oggetti riciclati, in linea con il suo amore per la natura e l'ambiente. Che siano su carta o su tela, più figurative o totalmente astratte, le sue opere rappresentano uno spazio di vera libertà.
Questa opera 'The Great Vibes Off Castreccioni' è stata realizzata nel 2022 e dedicata a due luoghi amati dall'artista: il Lago di Castreccioni e il Monte San Vicino (Marche, Italia). L'artista ha sempre voluto creare un'opera con questi due soggetti ma non ha mai affrettato la creazione dell'opera, poiché mirava alla perfetta combinazione di tecnica, approccio, colori e composizione.
L'ispirazione è arrivata grazie a un libro sulle xilografie giapponesi. Nonostante il chiaro riferimento a uno dei capolavori più noti di Hokusai, l'artista ha voluto dare un "tocco Doc.LP" utilizzando i suoi motivi e le sue linee distintive.
