What is the Mutant Ape Yacht Club? MAYC is a group of monkeys similar to the original BAYC, but with a zombie/mutant theme. Holders of the original 10,000 BAYC NFTs were given a vial of mutant serum of a random level: M1, M2 and M3. These vials were randomly distributed in the wallets containing the NFTs. If a monkey receives an M1 or M2 mutant serum, it can create a new mutant monkey that shares certain traits with its original form. Vials of M3 serum, on the other hand, could create a completely new mutant monkey with no relation to the original, giving it a chance to be even rarer.
What is the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC)? The Bored Ape Yacht Club is a collection of 10,000 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) stylised as monkeys created on the Ethereum blockchain. It is inspired by NFT projects such as CryptoPunks, where each NFT is completely unique and individual. Each Ape has a different rarity depending on what it wears, what it does and its context. The project was created by the four pseudonymous founders of Yuga Labs: Gargamel, Gordon Goner, Emperor Tomato Ketchup and No Sass. Since its launch, BAYC has created new NFT lines, NFT enhancements and an exclusive club for BAYC owners. When the latter was created, a roadmap was revealed on the mint website. She communicated, among other things, about an arcade machine that should be repaired.
