Artwork location: United States
Unique wooden artwork candle holder made from the fallen spruce trunk that resembles the shape of samurai sword katana. The surface is naturally decorated by the bark beetle's "cave paintings". Seven candles are mounted on brass bowls and emanate a warm atmosphere. The artwork is covered and protected with special wood wax and colored with gold paint. The stand is made of Siberian larch.

Alexander Cheglakov is an award-winning artist who gives a second life to the centuries old trees.
Each piece of art is the embodiment of nature with a new vision. Using his own hands and imagination, Alexander gives environmentally-friendly wood a second chance at life.
Alexander uses various materials: dried environmentally-friendly wood, Californian corals, fragments of antique stained glass, pieces of Sicilian glassware weathered by the sea, rhinestone, bronze figures and of course candles which radiate a warm atmosphere.
Alexander is a member of Eurasian Art Union and a member of Creative Union of Russian Artists.
