The work presents a coastal scene of rare beauty, where the central element is a twisted and gnarled tree stretching towards a bright azure sea. The composition immediately captivates the eye, thanks to the harmonious interaction between abraded nature and the serenity of water. The branches of the tree, with their organic and sinuous shapes, spread out in an almost surreal way, creating an intriguing play of shadows on the light sand. The background, adorned with green hills stretching to the horizon, adds depth and captures an atmosphere of island tranquility. Em’ji was born in 1965, she is a French painter and lives in Sete, South of France. Painting, sculpting, modeling, photography, mosaics, design... Em’ji is a protean artist, and through time has managed to learn a lot due to her encounters and the various cultures she came across.
Her creations are figurative. Her main source of inspiration is water and its reflections, first artistic emotions encountered during her first group session in a workshop in Bordeaux. She explores all angles, like the one of Caribbean Sea, Mekong not to mention the Dead sea. A favorite subject which doesn't prevent the artist to explore other themes like intimate portraits.
