She Is Like That – Raw Emotional Watercolor Portrait on Canson Paper.
Sometimes a glance tells more than a thousand words. This stunning watercolor portrait captures a raw, unfiltered emotional state—the kind we usually hide behind polite smiles and confident postures. But here? Here the veil is off.
This artwork is part of the artist's powerful “Passport Series," where each portrait explores the quiet depths of the human soul—what lies beneath the surface when we strip away expectations, roles, and social masks. Inspired by the lifeless, emotionless gaze in passport photos, the series reclaims this format and fills it with real, vulnerable expression.
Painted with professional-grade watercolor on 300 gsm Canson paper, this piece radiates inner tension, honesty, and quiet resilience. The soft, muted tones emphasize the sitter's introspective mood, while the blank background allows emotion to speak louder than environment.
It's a piece that whispers, “Yes, I feel too." A perfect gift for someone unafraid of truth and beauty.

Presentation
Margarita Zipman is a Moscow-based artist whose work explores human emotionality and the personas we project—both in public and private spheres. She is inspired by the modern individual, by the behavioral archetypes shaped by nature and refined by society. Through her art, Margarita observes the metamorphosis of identity over time and in various life circumstances, studying the emotional masks people choose and the roles they adopt.
Her creative process is a search for authenticity. In series like Totems, she depicts animals with human eyes, revealing that no matter what "skins" we wear, we carry within us the full weight of our past—pain, vulnerability, and the lessons of experience. Her work invites viewers to reconnect with emotional sincerity, which is increasingly hidden beneath the surface of modern life. Her artistic motto is: “Empathy will save the world."
Margarita Zipman has held solo exhibitions in Russia and abroad, including Totems at Art Gallery Zurich and an ongoing display of new works at the private art space of the M-Invest Mansion in Moscow. Among her many group exhibitions, a notable highlight is Pastelium at the New Tretyakov Gallery, part of the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. Her works are held in private collections across Russia and Europe.
She is currently developing a new series titled Contemporary Woman and Her Choice, set to be presented at select exhibitions in 2026.
