Adolf Frohner (1934-2007) was born in Austria, his museum is in Krems-Stein. Engraver, painter, sculptor he studies Fine Art in Vienna from 1954 until 1958. In 1961, he lives in Paris and creates abstract and figurative prints as well as paintings. In 1962, back to Vienna he creates the « Wiener Aktionismus » happenings, with Hermann Nitsch, Otto Muehl. In 1963, back to Paris, he works a bit with Spoerri, but sticks to his own art prints and paintings. His research keeps being between the destruction of fiigurative art, expressionism and abstraction. Back to Vienna he represents Austria at Sao Paulo Biennale in 1969 and Venice in 1970. His museum is inaugurated in 2007.
