Klaas Vanderperren

Klaas Vanderperren (Leuven, 19 August 1977) started his life outside of art. Outside every academy, outside of every tradition and outside of every poetics. The style of the professional artist is associated with figurative art with influences from the COBRA gentlemen. However, the works seem to be rooted in a contemporary zeitgeist. An alternative history of art: directly and from the feeling, the action in the colorful paintings predominates. Klaas Vanderperren does not get his inspiration from the history of painting but from the moment itself.
