Nellisa (Nelly Travers Monnier) was born in France on July 22, 1968 in Cherbourg. Originally from Normandy, she took several visual art courses.
She met the painter André Libion and works with him, she was his model and then his student in Paris; this experience allowed her to enrich her practice and learn new techniques.
On her arrival in Rennes, she met new artists and had the opportunity to exhibit her work.
Her paintings are a reflection of her life; she invites us on an abstract journey, and composes her canvases on the rhythm of music. A play of colors, materials and transparencies that she creates according to her inspiration. She worked on the moment, a brush stroke generates another stroke, a creative, imaginary act with thoughtful gestures.
