Richard Dumas is a French photographer, reportage portrait painter, born in 1961 in Paris. Richard Dumas works regularly for the French daily Le Monde, where he takes photos every week for the personalities page of journalist Josyane Savigneau. Thus, although he is not a studio portrait painter, we owe him many black and white portraits of personalities. He notably photographed Robert De Niro, Lou Reed, Kate Moss, Hulbert Selby Jr… He worked for the French daily Liberation (the Portrait page). He is also the author of numerous album covers, notably those of the albums Boire by Christophe Miossec, L'Imprudence by Bashung and Je Blesserai Person by Pierpoljak.
