Presentation
Dominique Renson is a contemporary French artist born in 1956 in Paris.
She lives and works mainly in Paris, but also in New York, Detroit and Lipsi. In 2002 she was named Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by Jean Jacques Aillagon.
It was after a stay in Australia in 1989 that Dominique Renson became a painter. In the town of Broom, she often goes to Animal's Bar frequented by marginalized and excluded people who fascinate her. From sketches and photographs, she creates large format paintings. More than portraits, these faces are a pretext to talk about his recurring concerns of death, sexuality, exclusion.
