Presentation
Naemi Ueta is a Japanese-born photographer who resides in Granada, Spain. She graduated with a degree in Philosophy of Art from the University of Doshisha in Kyoto, where she later worked as a copywriter in advertising. After moving to Spain in 1994, she worked as an interior designer. Her encounter with the art of Flamenco, which originated in southern Spain, led her to discover her talent and passion for photography.
Since then, her works have been featured as exhibitions, in television documentaries, news programs and magazines. In 2017 she opened her own gallery, INORI, in the center of Granada which was mentioned in the 2019 Michelin Guidebook. That same year, her work was also displayed at the Japanese Embassy in the Spanish capital Madrid.
Her style blends places, people, and emotions to capture timeless and universal beauty that speaks to everyone.
These photographic works are part of the INORI project, a term that means "prayer" in Japanese.
