Painter born in Geneva in 1860.

Landscape painter and sculptor.

He was raised in Geneva by Barthélemy Sueur at the School of Fine Arts in the painting section. Then Jean Jules Salmson for sculpture at the School of Industrial Arts.

In 1879 he continued his studies as a sculptor at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. In 1883 he began to paint again and left for Algeria where he stayed several times until 1895. Time of his definitive return to Geneva.

In 1901 he founded with the collaboration of Hippolyte Coutau and Louis Patru a private school of Fine Arts which was very popular.

He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Switzerland.

In 1896 he was responsible for the decoration of part of the national exhibition in Geneva.

He died on April 10, 1915 in Florence.
