Özgür Eryilmaz is a Turkish artist who was born in 1972 in Torul. He studied art at the Technical University of Karadeniz where he obtained a masters' degree in 1994. In 2002, he got a masters' degree in plastic arts at the University of Cukorova. From then on, he started a career as a teacher of fine arts. In 2008, he began teaching at the University of Cukorova.

Özgür Eryilmaz's work focuses on the human being and more specifically in his portrait. Collage and painting allows him to highlight the faces with features marked with emotion. Torn old newspapers are the link between the character and his environment. The human being is indeed dependent on the culture of a society, a country or a civilization.

Özgür Eryilmaz exhibits his work regularly in Turkey. Recently, he also exposes his creation in France, at the "Carousel du Louve" in Paris and at the "Art' et Miss" Gallery.
