United Kingdom Madiha Sebbani is a multidisciplinary artist who graduated in 2015 from the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tetouan. His practice often consists of minimalist performances, inspired by daily rituals and intimate gestures, which question our relationship to what is out of the ordinary and our ability to distance ourselves from experimentation. Sebbani's research is influenced by the power dynamics inherent in his upbringing on a military base. In recognition of her artistic talent, she was endorsed by the British Art Council in 2020 and granted a Global Arts and Cultural Talent Visa to continue her research and practice in the UK. Sebbani's work reflects a deep questioning of power and leadership, often exploring the complex relationships between those who hold authority and those who are subject to it. His art encourages the viewer to critically examine their own relationship to power dynamics, inviting them to participate in a dialogue about the nature of power and its impact on society.
