Blancbec

After spending ten years in the graffiti movement under the pseudo VEKS, at the beginning of 2000, he directed his work towards new approaches.

He then developed his first paintings furnished with geometric writings inspired by graffiti. In Barcelona in 2002, he discovered the work of hand-painted and pasted posters, a revelation! This technique attracts him because it can combine workshop work and urban activity. He adopts it!

The starting geometric writings are gradually transformed into characters. The bird then appears.

Temporarily, the canvases are put aside to make room for paper. At the beginning of 2003, the first posters of the bird appeared on the walls of the city; These are the first of this kind in Brussels.

The bird and the artist will be called "Blancbec" chosen for the inexperienced side of the artist and the certain aspect of his bird.

Its clean geometric construction and vivid chromatic range create its recognizable style.

Since then, daring protagonists have integrated his universe which it still represents via new supports and techniques.

The artist Blancbec is regularly exhibited and his works always appear in the urban landscape.
