Jane Puylagarde was born in 1958, she is a French painter. She began painting in 1992.
As the years went by, the artist developed a unique and poetic style. She created "punctuations" on the canvas, rough patches in the form of spots, an outcome of patient work: each spot is the result of about fifteen acrylic overlapped drops. Many inspirations influence her compositions. She created a work while thinking of David Bowie and his "genius, which abridges all the styles". However, the artist is also fascinated by "cosmos, black holes, elegant movement of a procession of planets, that orbit around each star and what the eye seems to perceive, when it examines cosmic emptiness".
Her works play around with microcosm and macrocosm, color and depth, through innovative minimalism.
