Presentation

Artist Statement:

I am a visual artist based in Hamburg, Germany.
My abstract paintings have been influenced by the Abstract Expressionism, especially by Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning. I am a spontaneous painter, striving to translate on canvas every lasting impression created by personal interactions, emotions, urban street life, nature and music. But, from all inspiration sources, music has one of the deepest impact on my work. Every artwork has a special connection to a musical piece and music in the creative process is for me a necessity.
When starting with a new piece, there is mostly no certain plan or sketching – only a slight idea in terms of color palette and composition. This idea starts developing during the process, which gets an own dynamic, leading to a spontaneous, sometimes even surprising outcome.
My works are as different as human feelings - soft, wild, raw, bright or dark – each one of them striving to be the accurate reflection of a mood or a feeling.
