Laurent Godard is a specialist in dripping, painting by dripping without ever putting the brush on the canvas, his imagination is omnipresent in his work. He is the inventor of a dreamlike universe, the virtual village of Flateurville, in which he likes to mix reality and fiction.
The smart Sacha embodies one of the protagonists of this imaginary society, smiling and "intelligent" as its title indicates. The composition is minimalist, uncluttered to enhance the brush technique. This deeply human work is waiting for you to know its story.

Presentation
Born in 1967, Laurent Godard studied medicine at La Garancière, in Paris. After having been a dental surgeon the first part of his career, he turned to acting and painting classes and developed his figurative painting technique and his passion for writing. His imaginary village, Flateurville, is the whole of his artistic work, which transforms real places into a story, containing paintings and a manifesto or an invitation to reflection. His paintings have been exhibited in galleries internationally. The main technique used by Godard is due to his fascination with the style of Jackson Pollock: the majority of the portraits are designed by “dripping”. This type of abstract painting opens curiosity to discover new characters and personalities that will appear through his paintings. Today, he continues to develop and grow the real and fictional relationships of Flateurville; always looking for new abandoned places to transform and add to the village map, using all the narrative supports at his disposal to be able to tell the story in various ways and to multiple audiences. With the support of ARTE, he is currently working on the production of a feature film and a play.
