This work is from the series “Latent Traces"
I am currently working on reactivating the works that my grandfather passed on to me at the end of his life.
Reinterpreted by an AI to whom I told my story, as well as that of my ancestor, I try to establish a dialogue between the works of the past, the futuristic projections of future works made by deep learning, and the traditional techniques that I use in the present.
A triple vision, formally brought together within the same finite space, the frame, which here takes on a symbolic dimension.
How do we define a work created collaboratively and a code?
I choose from my grandfather's works, based solely on my feelings, the one that will feed into the AI.
I only request one image generation, and I take the first result provided.
The work I am developing is somewhere between the two, with many details missing from the original. I have to extrapolate and imagine the source by constantly going back and forth between the two versions I have.
The mediums also vary because I plan to use the equipment and some blank papers that were passed down to me by my grandfather.
This artwork is a unique composition framed by a wooden structure with asymmetrical geometric lines, skillfully blending diverse forms and content. Three distinct images are nestled within this innovative frame. On the left, a colorful illustration of fruit and foliage offers an explosion of vibrant hues, centered around a boldly red vase. On the right, a monochrome drawing defines the delicate contours of a still life, highlighted by a clean background. Below, a small image subtly combines elements of both styles, visually connecting the whole. This triad of illustrations is ingeniously framed, stimulating a dynamic interaction between the works, which complement each other while retaining their individuality. The frame's arrangement lends depth and movement, transforming the artwork into an ideal centerpiece for any contemporary space.

A bestiary of today Sacred zoo, that of Guillaume Piot who transforms politicians, faceless but recognizable, into kings of a jungle that could well represent the French! A sharp-looking draftsman, Guillaume Piot did not choose zoomorphy to portray these animals that are politicians: don't we compare them to elephants when they advance in a monolithic herd, to old foxes when cunning competes with cynicism or even with monkeys when they make fun of the world? And finally, aren't we the spectators of a sort of cattle fair when it comes to choosing the one with the best teeth to bite into France or the most beautiful panache to seduce her? A past master in animal iconography, Guillaume Piot revisits the bestiaries of yesteryear in his own way. His pencil is delicate but often biting like those pitbulls and gorillas who crowd around Marine Le Pen. And what about these vultures who frame François Fillon while the geese sound the alarm against the attackers? Surrounded by a composite courtyard, bears, giraffes, camels, Emmanuel Macron clenches his fists while Jean-Luc Mélenchon reenacts freedom guiding the people in the midst of goats and sheep. Arnaud Montebourg, him, tries to compete with a peacock making the wheel ... as for François Hollande, alone in his palace, he tries to make himself a rhinoceros leather ... and all the others are to be discovered, smile on the lips, thought in mind. These politicians have no face, but they have a name thanks to these "nice animals" who surround them to offer them a little of their mind.
