Abstraction Beyond Borders

Ibadan From February 28, 2026 to March 30, 2026

Presentation

Abstraction Beyond Borders is an exploration of form, color, memory, and identity beyond the limits of geography, language, or tradition. The exhibition brings together works that dissolve familiar boundaries between the personal and the collective, the spiritual and the physical, the past and the present.

Through abstraction, the artists presented here challenge fixed narratives and invite viewers into open-ended spaces of interpretation. Shapes become emotions, colors become voices, and fragmented figures become symbols of movement, migration, resilience, and transformation. Rather than offering singular meanings, the works ask questions: What does it mean to belong? How do we carry culture across time? Where do borders truly exist on maps, or within the mind?

This exhibition celebrates abstraction as a universal language
one that transcends borders while honoring the unique histories embedded in each gesture and surface. Abstraction Beyond Borders is not only a visual experience, but a meditation on freedom, connection, and the limitless possibilities of contemporary expression.
