Biography

Ines Fragm is a Belarusian-born visual artist with a professional background in architecture. Her work has been presented in international projects including Palimpsest of Memory by Culturally Arts Collective and Radiant Horizons by Sfumato Art Creatives in the United States. Her work has also appeared in 101 Artbook – Collage Edition by Arts to Hearts Project and Photo Trouvée Magazine.

Working with digital collage and mixed media, Ines Fragm explores family, cultural, historical, and architectural memory. Her practice grew from a search for continuity, local cultural roots, and an inner sense of belonging in an era of global social instability.

Drawing on more than two decades of professional experience in architecture, Ines Fragm treats buildings not simply as structures, but as vessels of collective memory. She combines authentic photographs from her family archive with fragments of Belarusian sacred architecture—which functions as her spiritual archive and the quintessence of Belarusian authenticity. She places these elements within irrational, dreamlike spaces governed by the laws of recollection and mysticism, rather than physical reality.

Through this collision of private archive and cultural heritage, individual memory expands into the larger history of her people. Ines Fragm's artwork addresses the search for home, belonging, intergenerational connection, and the fragility of cultural memory—not as nostalgia, but as a search for an inner home that can survive external change.
