Biography
After studying psychology, I chose to fully commit to an artistic path and dedicate myself to creation, specifically sculpture. A true passion was born after encountering the works of Camille Claudel and Auguste Rodin. I chose not to pursue further art studies. I didn't want to engage in artistic discourse. I wanted to feel free and freely express what was within me. Therefore, I was determined to study and express myself through the human body. I spent a long time copying works and working from live models. Then I freed myself from this technique to freely express what was stirring within me. I love the human body and all its possibilities, the emergence of volume, a multitude of lines in dialogue, the magic at work. The human body is also a pretext for capturing, in form, the very essence of life. One could say, breath, soul, that which flows through us and sustains us. Also, in my latest collection, I embraced abstraction. Free forms and volumes instinctively find their place in space. I feel as if I'm being guided. I like to focus on the subtlety of faces and explore the interplay of possibilities between abstraction and figuration. I also work with foundries in France and Ivory Coast, transforming clay into bronze.
