Biography

Patrick Hughes is a French architect born in 1972. He currently lives and works in Marseille.

Patrick Hughes has always drawn and sketched as part of his work, as well as for pleasure. He recently started painting: buildings, cranes, industrial buildings ...

Cityscapes he visits during the day are transcribed to his pieces during the evenings on his workshop.

Patrick Hughes works everything into light and shadow. But his work is part of reality, not dreams. A reality without concessions, abrupt and violent. Dark cities, crisis, ghostly humans or rebellions all comprised in the work of Patrick Hughes, which give us a vision of an apocalyptic world.

Patrick Hughes recently exhibited at the The apartment Gallery (L'appartement) in Marseille in 2016.
