Biography
Andy Picci is a Swiss-Italian artist born in 1989 in Lausanne. A graduate of MA Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in London, he lives and works between Lausanne and Paris.
His practice explores the notions of memory, identity, time, and presence. Initially associated with digital languages and circulating images, his work has progressively moved towards more physical forms: sculptures, installations, objects, and interventions in space. Through these different mediums, he questions the way memories are constructed, transform, and persist, between intimate experience and collective imaginary.
His work has been presented in different artistic and institutional contexts, notably with HEK Basel, Liste Art Fair Basel, Magasins Généraux, DSM Paris, Sotheby's Paris, Paradisoterrestre Bologna, as well as in the framework of projects with König Galerie, Porsche, Adidas or Off-White™.

The shape of past 2026
Sculpture : . 10 x 7 x 8 cm 3.9 x 2.8 x 3.1 inch
"the shape of past" is part of the "the shapes of" series, initiated by Andy Picci in 2021 as a research around communication, interpretation, and spherical cryptography.
In this series, each shape is generated from a word encoded according to several axes. Here, the term "past" becomes a physical form: a sculpture in polished stainless steel, mirror-like, both abstract and a carrier of the concept it translates.
The work can be presented in different orientations, allowing the same shape to reveal several readings depending on its position. Its reflective surface also integrates the environment in which it is placed, making each presentation slightly different.
This sculpture is from a limited edition of 10 copies. Each piece measures 10×7×8 cm, weighs 1.5 kg, and is accompanied by a white presentation box with custom-cut foam and engraved metal plate.
