Description
This captivating work brilliantly combines painting and sculpture. The artist uses pieces of wood of varying sizes to create a relief canvas, adding depth and dimension. At the center, a young woman with dark, curly hair and closed eyes holds a withered flower, a symbol of fragility and transience. Her turquoise shirt contrasts with the warmth of the wood, drawing the eye to the subject. Trompe-l'œil perspective techniques enrich the composition, evoking staircases receding into space. The integration of text fragments on the wood adds a narrative dimension, inviting introspective reflection. This work is distinguished by its innovative use of materials, lending it a hybrid character between figuration and abstraction. It powerfully captures attention through its subtle interplay between the pictorial plane and sculpture, engaging the viewer in a unique visual and emotional experience.
