Description
The artwork is currently rolled and unframed. The canvas measures 100×90 cm +5 cm on each side reserved for stretching and mounting onto a stretcher frame.
The canvas is visually bisected into contrasting realms - a soft, vulnerable pink plane colliding with a raw, dark terracotta field. A heavy, geometric black structure cuts through the composition like an ideological clamp, symbolizing the rigid societal codes and totalitarian concepts that seek to constrain the individual. Rather than presenting a conventional figure, the artwork deconstructs the female body into symbolic fragments: a long, organic braid flowing downward and a single leg ending in a sharp red stiletto. This juxtaposition pits archetypal heritage against modern performative tropes, illustrating how identity is compartmentalized under external scrutiny. At the center of the structural enclosure, a hand reaches inward to cradle a vibrant, radiant red sphere. This gesture represents the active preservation of the secret self - an unyielding core of personal integrity that refuses to be suppressed or flattened by outside demands. Embracing the tension of living between cultures, eras, and expectations, the painting rejects the illusion of a forced, uniform identity. Instead, it reframes fragmentation as a natural state, demonstrating that authentic personal beauty exists precisely where one breaks free from the framework.
