Description
Abstract composition that feels simultaneously earthy and atmospheric. Inspired by late light on stone, the artwork explores the moment when mineral color, shadow, and brightness merge across a tactile surface.
Natural earth pigments and mixed-media layers give the canvas pronounced texture, with irregular ridges, scraped passages, and areas where gold appears and disappears beneath white. The metallic tones respond subtly to changing light, while ivory and cool pale areas preserve a feeling of openness around the denser central form.
The work may be displayed horizontally or vertically, giving collectors flexibility in how the composition interacts with their space. A professionally finished gold-bronze wooden floating frame with a dark inner edge completes the presentation and reinforces the relationship between the metallic palette and the textured canvas.
Its restrained white, gold, bronze, and earth-tone palette makes the artwork particularly suited to a contemporary living room, dining room, office, or refined modern interior. It can also make a distinctive gift for a collector drawn to material abstraction, natural pigments, and artworks where light and texture change throughout the day.
Materials: Natural earth pigments, gold, and mixed media on stretched cotton canvas. Gold-bronze wooden floating frame with dark inner edge. Signed and dated on the reverse. Certificate of authenticity included.
Shipping / Display: Ready to hang. Horizontal or vertical orientation. Professionally packaged for safe worldwide shipping.
Presentation
Sveta Osborne lives and works in Anderson, South Carolina, and keeps a seasonal studio in Southwest Florida. Born in Minsk in 1975, she spent her childhood in a neighbor's sculpture workshop, where bronze and marble works for public squares. She studied fashion design at the College of Fashion Design in Minsk, then worked as a painter for many years. After moving to the United States she continued to build pictures as physical objects.
She has held solo exhibitions, including The Ocean at Art Ovation Hotel, Sarasota (2023), and textured-canvas displays at Hilton Miami Aventura, Aventura (2025 and 2026). Among her group shows and fine art festivals are ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival, Palm Beach Gardens; Naples New Year's Art Fair and Naples Downtown Art Fair, Naples; Sarasota Fine Art Show, St. Armands Circle; Bonita Springs National Art Festival; ArtFest Fort Myers; and Westhampton Beach Festival of the Arts, New York.
Her paintings are built in thick layers of acrylic, earth pigments, and Italian marble powder. Collectors describe them as sculptures on canvas.
The work is shown in Clive Daniel Home showrooms in Naples, Sarasota, and Boca Raton, and is commissioned by independent interior designers.
She is now working on a new interior botanical series of textured abstractions for pre-orders and exhibitions in 2027.
