Description
Scrolling through social media, I often found myself drawn to floral paintings, mesmerized by their fleeting beauty. But when I sat down to create this piece, my life was going through an intensely challenging chapter.
I was grieving the profound loss of a loved one while recovering from surgery. My husband was serving far away from home, in the military, leaving me in a reality where tomorrow was completely uncertain. Carefree days and stability had evaporated; there were no long-term plans - only the intense, fragile realization of living strictly in the "here and now..."
In that vortex of emotions, I didn't want to paint delicate, fragile blossoms. I felt a fierce urge to paint flowers infused with steel-like resilience - flowers that looked as if they were sculpted from silver metal, embodying pure inner strength and fortitude. They became a direct mirror of my spiritual state: graceful on the outside, yet unbreakable within.
"Silver Chord" is a tribute to human resilience, courage, and finding solid ground within oneself during the darkest, most uncertain times.
