Description
A magnetic gaze is imposed in the center of this composition. The face, sculpted by marked contrasts, emerges from a deep blue background. The technique mixes acrylic and epoxy resin. This choice brings a unique depth and brilliance to the material.
The portrait is set in the aesthetic of Pop Art. Mechanical elements, similar to safety goggles, sit on top of the forehead. These metallic details dialogue with spontaneous paint splatters.
The play of light emphasizes the finesse of the features and the shine of the red lips. The vertical drips structure the space and energize the scene. The artist explores here the link between the human and the technical imagination.
The smooth aspect of the resin contrasts with the force of the pictorial gesture. This painting from 2025 captures a serene and mysterious expression. The silhouette stands out against a background striped with azure and cobalt shades.
Presentation
From childhood, Anne Billen has explored the power of color and gesture. On canvas, she transforms her emotions into vibrant compositions where matter breathes and light comes alive. Her work blends acrylic and epoxy resin, creating a unique depth that immediately captures the viewer's attention. Nourished by an imagination forged between the gentleness of drawing and the strength of the metal in her family environment, Anne develops a universe where transparency, texture, and light converse. Her signature style, the “glasses style,” acts like a poetic magnifying glass, revealing the invisible and opening the door to new perceptions.
