Description
Sincerity explores the meaning of devotion, loyalty and love through the imagery of three swans moving across a tranquil pond. Each swan represents a different stage of emotional attachment: the sorrow of lost love, the joy of welcoming a beloved partner, and the steadfast loyalty of one who patiently awaits true love despite the distractions surrounding her. Lush green foliage, delicate pink blossoms and shimmering water create a dreamlike setting, contrasting with the deeper emotional narrative. The combination of acrylic paint and textured relief brings the composition to life, adding depth and a tactile quality that softens the intensity of colour. Originally begun in 2023, the artwork evolved into its final form in 2025, reflecting the artist's growing experience and a deeper understanding of sincerity as a choice to remain faithful to one's feelings. Original artwork created with acrylic and texture paste on plywood, 40 × 60 cm. The artwork will be carefully packed and shipped in a protective box.
Presentation
Samar Hisham is an Egyptian contemporary visual artist, born in 1998 and based in Mansoura, Egypt. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language from Mansoura University and has developed her artistic practice independently.
Since 2023, Hisham has focused on relief art, acrylic painting and mixed media, combining abstract impressionist approaches with highly tactile, sculptural surfaces. Working primarily with acrylics and heavy impasto paste on canvas, wood and linen, she builds layered compositions in which texture becomes an essential part of the visual language.
At the centre of Hisham's practice is an interest in intangible human experiences that are increasingly difficult to preserve in contemporary life - safety, sincerity, authentic connection and genuine giving. Through material, colour and relief, she seeks to transform these invisible emotional states into something physical and perceptible.
Her ongoing practice explores the relationship between inner emotional experience and the material world, while her developing work is expanding towards broader ideas of freedom, beauty and human connection.
