Description
Photomosaic under plexiglass.
This striking artwork captures a scene of absolute relaxation by a swimming pool. A solitary figure rests on the edge, half-submerged in the clear, sparkling water. The large straw hat she wears adds rustic elegance while offering protection from the bright sun. The hat's shadow contrasts with the shimmering surface of the water, creating an alluring visual harmony. The gently rippling lines of the water frame the composition, inviting the viewer to experience the surrounding tranquility. The warm, soothing color palette accentuates the serene, summery atmosphere. The skillful use of downward perspective lends the work a dynamic depth while maintaining a captivating simplicity. It is a testament to the art of capturing perfect tranquility and the timeless appeal of sun-drenched, meditative moments.
Presentation
Born in 1959, Joël Moens is a Belgian photographer.
His creation process is based on only one source: internet. He has looked at more than twenty million images and chosen only 80,000 to work on them. He Crops, repeats, overlays and juxtaposes through the help of a computer software, he wants to create figurative art that captures reality.
He draws inspiration from our society and its population, which is positioned between tradition and the digital world. The thousand of chosen images are critical and shocking, moral and erotic. They are an echo to our world. Through this process, Joel Moens is able to give a second analysis to his works, as at a first glance they are a tribute to women and love.
