Description
A child's silhouette stands facing the immensity. The gaze is lost on a arid horizon. The cracked ground evokes a thirsty land. In the distance, industrial chimneys release dark smoke.
The chromatic contrast strikes the mind. The immaculate white of the clothing opposes the vivid red of the accessories. Bracers and a bucket punctuate the composition. The child holds a shovel, ready to act in this desolate landscape.
The aesthetic borrows from the codes of street art. The line is sharp. The color blocks are frank. This digital composition plays on irony and fragility. The image questions our relationship with the environment.
The artist uses a precise graphic style here. The harsh light accentuates the solitude of the character. Every detail reinforces the feeling of climate urgency. This limited edition was made in 2026 in the form of digital printing.
Presentation
"An artist who makes the sidewalk and art counting for nothing in Saint-Etienne." This is how, in a few words, Ladamenrouge presents himself.
For about ten years, he has realized about two hundred works. The artist has fun with everything he finds on the ground, the walls or in the street. "I never plan in advance what I'm going to do, it's really random.
In front of a blank page, I am unable to draw something, I need to be stimulated by what surrounds me," he explains.
His goal is to create a work that blends in with the environment: "I am satisfied when people don't immediately notice one of my drawings." Inspired by the street, his works are often humorous. "I did some political caricatures but I was not very comfortable, I prefer to be funny," he says.
