Description
This contemporary sculpture revisits classical imagery with urban codes. The female bust stands out for its immaculate whiteness. The face displays a neutral serenity. The features are precise. The material combines plastic and resin for a smooth and modern finish.
The contrast arises on the base of the work. Projections of acrylic paint break the purity of the white. Blue and red intertwine in a spontaneous gesture. This work recalls the technique of graffiti and the energy of street art. The splatters create an immediate visual dynamism.
The approach is inscribed in the heritage of Pop Art. The artist here merges the rigor of the traditional portrait and the freedom of abstract expression. The result is a balanced piece. It dialogues between calm and movement. The composition plays on the symbolism of colors and the force of the line. The sculpture rests on a base molded into the same material.
Presentation
Graffiti artist Spaco created his first works in the streets of major cities, particularly in London.
Spaco's unique approach to urban art continues to captivate audiences worldwide, as his innovative use of color and collage techniques pushes the boundaries of contemporary street art. Recently, Spaco’s works have been featured in prominent exhibitions, with his latest collection receiving widespread acclaim for its bold integration of pop culture references and abstract expressionism. His recent solo show in New York highlighted his distinctive ability to merge digital influences with traditional aerosol techniques, drawing inspiration from both iconic pop artists and modern street culture. In addition to his growing exhibition presence, Spaco’s artwork has garnered attention from top collectors and is now featured in several prestigious galleries across Europe and North America. As one of the most exciting voices in the graffiti and street art scene, Spaco is poised to continue making waves with upcoming collaborations and projects, including his participation in an upcoming group show focusing on the intersection of street art and digital innovation. His work is quickly becoming a sought-after commodity, with collectors and enthusiasts eager to experience his high-energy, colorful creations.
He is inspired by Pop Art, and much of his work nods to artists such as Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol and Vincent Van Gogh... He makes collages and uses bright colors. In addition, his way of handling aerosol cans and paintbrushes allows him to stand out because he has his own style.
His art is a mixture of pop art through its colours and collages, and street art through his talent for handling brushes and aerosol cans that give an abstract impression of raw art. His works generally transcribe movement and radiate a certain energy.
