Description
Pop art appropriates an iconic symbol of haute perfumery here. The artist detours a classic bottle to transform it into a pictorial support. The eye is immediately drawn to a marked contrast. A central black rectangle, with white letters and graphics, anchors the composition.
All around, an explosion of floral patterns blossoms. The colors intertwine in a game of dynamic superimpositions. The acrylic work brings visual density and immediate chromatic richness. Each floral detail seems to vibrate against the rigor of the logo.
This creation explores the codes of our consumer society. It transforms an everyday object into a sophisticated decorative piece. The use of modern materials reinforces the contemporary aspect of the approach. The rigid structure of the bottle dialogues with the freedom of the pictorial gesture.
The whole plays on the instant recognition of a prestigious brand. The final rendering associates the precision of graphic design with the spontaneity of painting. The composition relies on a multicolored background where shades of blue, yellow, and orange mingle.
Presentation
Trained in graphic arts, Fred began his career in the world of graphic design and advertising before extending his practice to plastic and pictorial creation.
Working with wood, aluminum, resin or even plexiglass, the artist enhances each of his supports with numerous touches of acrylic paint.
Fred draws his inspiration from the wide range of visual codes and cultural references offered by our modern society to create clever paintings, resolutely pop and colorful.
