However, these "aquatic" canvases are populated by sea creatures (squid, jellyfish, shrimp) and monstrous animals, as well as vermiform forms. Even when his works seem to play solely on different color tones and play of light, the abundance of the digital world and the weirdness of video games are never far away.

The second major influence which shines through the sensitivity of the artist is that of the dense forest, in particular the jungle which he discovered in French Guiana. Jungle-inspired creepers get lost and intertwine in blue-tinted tableaux, sometimes converging on a point of light. Some of his works recall the details of cross-stitch embroidery, while others abound with vermiform shapes in strange colors.
