Biography
The art of modeling was passed on to me by an internationally renowned sculptor of Indian origin, Debesh Goswami. His training, traditional and rigorous, gave me the freedom to express my perception of the world in the earth. I am fascinated by the wild beauty of the animals. Their contemplation offers me an intensity of emotions and a multitude of sensations that I express in the clay. I try to transcribe the animal instinct which is outside all worldliness. Their expressive authenticity, without pretense, reveals their beauty in what is most true and natural. I fix in the earth the ephemeral moment of a movement, the beauty of a line, the sensuality of a curve, the energy of survival.
