Adina de Souzy

Adina de Souzy's artistic career began in childhood when she practiced with passion the Art of Drawing in which she quickly managed to be able to produce many portraits, landscapes and genre scenes. Passionate about Classical Art, she frequents museums all over Europe, in order to seek inspiration and enrich her pictorial culture. After her baccalaureate and law studies, she entered the Institut d'Études Supérieures d'Art in Paris. Holder of a 3rd cycle, she obtains a diploma of Expert in Events and Cultural Goods. From then on, she devoted herself full time to the practice of her art. Quickly, she realizes that she has to find her marks, create an expression, a style of her own. Her creative spirit will push her to leave figuralism to move towards a more subjective form of abstraction tending towards the representation of dreams. Adina de Souzy gives us to see works that are the fruit of a long maturation and a very successful personal technique, paintings whose richness of colors, their fluidity and their brilliance, make us share her dreams without which life is nothing. "I have known Adina de Souzy for more than 15 years, I have followed the evolution of her artistic expression and her career with a very particular interest. Adina's canvases lead us to ask ourselves different questions, both through the gradations of colors only through the totally unexpected effects of improbable hues combining together in sometimes elliptical movements or sparkling flights. This totally atypical and unique artist on the market, uses multiple techniques, some of which date back to the dawn of time. by returning to the sources, that she reappropriated natural pigments, such as ocher, powders of marble and semi-precious stones, but also the metallic oxides that she produced herself in her workshop. with happiness the shades of carnation oil and acrylic, managing to marry non-soluble mediums between them to obtain these flamboyant renderings which come to challenge our imagination in a pleasure made up of subtle wanderings and almost magical spiritual visions. The oxides of iron, copper and graphites, as well as the various mediums entering into the composition, then take on shades ranging from light yellow to the darkest brown which, associated with smoke black, give unexpected and splendid effects. The gesture is flexible, graceful, but also sometimes nervous, angry and stormy depending on the subject and the painter's inspiration. Adina de Souzy made possible the association of technically improbable and insoluble compositions in one another, in a concert of colors that happily coexist, to the delight of our eyes.
